TrueCredit Credit Report Details

Customers can choose from two types of credit reports: one provided by TransUnion and a 3-in-1 credit report including information from TransUnion, Experian, and Equifax. Both will qualify the customer for the 30-day credit monitoring trial. The report is made up of six sections:

Consumer information: This is where the customer’s name, birth date, social security number, and current addresses and employers are provided. Any additional contact information will also be shown.

Consumer statement: Customers can add their own messages to the credit report. This can be useful for justifying any negative information such as missed or late payments, fraud alerts, or explanations for any public records.

Accounts histories: This part lists all of the person’s credit accounts, including credit cards, loans, and mortgages. It also provides details on each account such as date opened, type of credit (open, revolving, or installment), high balance, and payment history for the last seven years. This information accounts for the biggest part of the credit score computations.

Public records: Any information obtained from publicly available records such as district records and courthouses will be listed in this section. Examples are filings for bankruptcy, judgment filings, collections, and tax liens.

Inquiries: This section shows all the inquiries made into one’s credit report in the past two years. These are usually made by potential lenders for evaluation purposes. Inquiries can pull a score down by one or two points, except when they are made by the customers themselves.

Creditor contacts: Each creditor’s address, phone number, and other contact information will be included in the report. This is to help customers get in touch when there are problems such as wrong information or possible identity theft.
