The Tri Merge Credit Report
Credit scores can vary from one bureau to another, as each one uses a different rating system. The discrepancies can be confusing for lenders and often cause delays in the processing of applications. To avoid such problems, companies have come up with the tri-merge credit report—a report that combines all the three credit bureau reports to provide a single, easy-to-read score.
Also called a 3 bureau credit report, the tri-merge credit report may do more than give you a combined credit score. It can be tailored to suit the requirements for specific loans such as mortgages. For example, it can eliminate redundant information from the three reports, which can be useful for loans that don’t need verification of employment or rent. Some companies even offer bi-merge credit reports for lenders with special requirements.
