Equifax
Equifax Inc., better known as Equifax, is a global credit reporting agency based in Atlanta, Georgia. It is one of the three major credit bureaus in the United States, the other two being Experian (experian.com) and TransUnion (transunion.com). It is the oldest of the three bureaus, having been founded in 1899, and is widely considered as the industry leader. Its annual revenue as of 2007 is at US$1.5 billion.
Equifax operates in 14 other countries and monitors the credit of over 400 million entities, including consumers and businesses. Besides credit monitoring, it also offers information solutions and intelligence products for businesses and personal financial advice for individuals.
