Credit Reports and Monitoring
One of the company’s key offerings is the online credit report, which is used to apply for loans, credit cards, and other credit products. The report is a three-in-one product combining scores from the three national credit bureaus in the US: Equifax (equifax.com), Experian (experian.com), and TransUnion (transunion.com). It is also possible to view individual reports and scores from each bureau.
Unlike the free annual report required by the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA), the Credit.com report includes a free credit score. This normally has to be purchased from myFICO (myfico.com) or any of the three credit bureaus. Also included in the credit report are personalized tips for improving credit based on the negative points on one’s report. It also comes with helpful articles and informational resources to further assist customers in credit management.
Upon ordering, customers will be asked to sign up for a Credit.com account. This account can be used to store and view credit reports and avail of the site’s other services. The report is available online for around $30.
Credit.com members can also avail of selected credit-monitoring products from the three credit bureaus, such as the Equifax CreditWatch Gold, the Experian CreditCheck and Triple Advantage, and unlimited credit reports and scores from TransUnion. Some of these programs also protect from credit card fraud and offer up to $50,000 in insurance for fraud and identity theft.
